I cut her hair

I broke down and cut L's hair today. She was born with a full head of hair and I vowed to not cut it. I wanted it to grow out so I could just tuck the front behind her ears. I was plagued with the mom bang cut for years of my life and I told myself I wouldn't put my daughter through the same thing. Lately though she refuses to keep any kind of hair clip or hair pony in her hair.. she rips them out and tries to eat them. Her hair usually tucks behind her ear a little but it stays for only a few minutes. She ends up walking around with her hair hanging across her eyes. Then I get to hear comments from my husband like "when are you going to let me cut that", "she looks like a shaggy dog" "She can't see.. no wonder she runs into things" etc... So anywho, today I cut her bangs. I'm just done with fighting her and keeping her hair out of her eyes and now... she has the classic mom cut.

After
I'm hoping I can let it grow now and she'll be old enough to keep her hair clips in by the time she'll need them.

awww. it's such a hard thing to do! good work, mama! I have the same issue with cutting my SON'S hair but it gets easier when everyone starts assuming he's a girl...and when it's actually vision imparing. Ha!

Ohmigoodness, how cute is SHE!!! What a darling baby!.

You know, my sister just cut my niece's hair for the first time a couple of months ago. She didn't want to do it, but my niece is like your daughter - she refused to wear a hair clip. And I have to say, the haircut made her look cuter if that's possible, just like your adorable baby!!
